Tyler Childers Set to Perform in Lexington this Weekend

Lawrence County, Kentucky native and Grammy nominated Tyler Childers is set to perform at his largest Lexington event to date this weekend at Kroger Field.

The venue, needless to say, is no honky tonk where attendance for sold out football games average about 61,000. The stage artillery and construction for Saturday’s performance will likely knock that figure to the neighborhood of 50,000. 

According to Ticketmaster, the show is not sold out, but a Ticketmaster scan reveals only a smattering of seats, nearly all of which are singles remain, so roughly 40,000 people will be attending Childers' concert.

Fellow Kentuckians Chris Stapleton and Dwight Yoakam only drew in 14,000 at Rupp Arena for the 2022 Kentucky Rising flood Relief Benefit.

Childers is married to our very own Senora May, a former resident of Lee County and talented in her own right.

Tyler Childers is set to perform with Wynonna Judd, another Kentucky native, and S.G. Goodman on Saturday, April 19th at Kroger Field.
