Congressman Hal Rogers convened a meeting onMonday, May 12, 2025 with superintendents from 25 school districts in Kentucky's 5th Congressional District, along with the Kentucky Association of School Administrators (KASA), to discuss federal funding that impacts students across our rural region.
Congressman Rogers listened to them and their concerns about the future of vital programs and resources that directly benefit our students and the opportunities that they have access to.
Congressman Rogers assured the superintendents that as he returns to Washington this week, he will work to ensure that our schools and our students have the resources they need to be successful. He stated, “I deeply appreciate the work of our educators and their passion to pave the path for a brighter future in southern and eastern Kentucky!”
A healthy Lee County requires great community news.
